"Should devices be autoconfigured?"

    If you answer YES, the NET$CONFIGURE procedure will
    autoconfigure to find the devices.  On VAX, this is done
    using the SYSGEN AUTOCONFIGURE ALL command.  On an Alpha,
    this is done using the SYSMAN IO AUTO command.  If you are
    performing the initial configuration of your system and you
    answer NO, then there will be no devices to configure. If you
    are reconfiguring devices (that is, you selected Option 3 from
    the NET$CONFIGURE main menu) and you answer NO, then there will
    be no devices to configure and the procedure exits.
