RESET Cancels a selection or other operation, and sets the direction to FORWARD. Key: EVE Default EDT/WPS Keypad Motif func key ---------------------------------------------------------- GOLD-SELECT GOLD-PERIOD on keypad CTRL/\ Usage notes: o RESET cancels any of the following: * Highlighting of a range or box with SELECT, BOX SELECT, FIND, or WILDCARD FIND (see help on Ranges And Boxes) * A press of the GOLD key alone, or a GOLD-number sequence for a repeat count (with the EDT or WPS keypad) * An incomplete or recalled command line, or $CHOICES$ buffer display * Display from SHOW, SHOW DEFAULTS BUFFER, SHOW SUMMARY, or SHOW WILDCARDS---and returns to the buffer you were editing o You can also cancel a selection by simply repeating SELECT, and you can cancel the highlighting of found text by moving the cursor out of the found range. o RESET does not reset the terminal or redraw the screen. Instead, use the REFRESH command (CTRL/W) to redraw the screen. o GOLD-SELECT is a "sleeper" key---it is defined by default, but the definition must be activated by setting a GOLD key or by setting the EDT or WPS keypad.
