Deletes a single file or (empty) directory. It can also delete an
    entire directory tree and all its files, or to delete files in a
    directory tree.

    Limited wildcards are permitted of the form "*", "*.*", "FILE.*"
    and "*.EXT". Partial wildcards are not yet implemented.
