Clear

  Choose Clear from the    Edit menu to delete the selected part
  of the recording.  DECsound deletes the selected part of the
  recording from the display area, but the Clear operation does
  not affect the contents of the clipboard.   If you use the Clear
  operation without selecting part of the recording, the entire
  recording is cleared.
