The formula for calculating the number of CPU cores in the host running ALPHA2 in a vtAlpha virtual machine is:

(the total amount of active Alpha CPU's in ALPHA2 * 1.5)

With the found OpenVMS configuration: (1 * 1.5) = 2

The formula for calculating the host memory needed for a host running ALPHA2 in a vtAlpha virtual machine is:

(the total amount of memory in ALPHA2 * 1.25) + (total number of disks * 125) + (number of tapeunits * 100) + 1024 MB

With the found OpenVMS configuration: (2048 * 1.25) + (9 * 125) + (1 * 100) + 1024 = 4809 MB

The value of memory and number of CPUs is the minimum value needed
and also depends on the use of the emulator.
These values are often not sufficient on a heavily used emulator.
