Elapsed Time Monitoring settings
The elapsed time monitoring uses an upper limit.

If the elapsed time of a batch job is longer than the upper limit for this job, this turnaround time is not saved in the historical file. This is to prevent clearly incorrect jobs from affecting the average.

This upper limit is a percentage of the average elapsed time.

There are two upper limits:

  1. The limit for sending a report.
  2. The limit for not adding to the historical file. The limit value for this is the limit value for a notification x 1.5

Example:

Upper limit is set to 250%.
Average elapsed time for the batch job is 130 seconds.

If the turnaround time of a batch job is longer than 130 x  2.5 = 325 seconds, give a message.

If the turnaround time of a batch job is longer than 130 x (2.5 x 1.5)  = 488  seconds, give a message, but do not add to the historical data.

The upper limit can be set differently for each job to be monitored.
When adding a new job the standard upper limit is used.
