Elapsed Time Monitoring settings
Monitoring elapsed time monitoring:
The elapsed time monitoring reads from the batch jobs in the SMiC_DATA: MONITORELAPSEDTIMES.DAT data file, the elapsed time.
These are stored in a CSV file so that a historical overview can easily be made.
These historical processing times are also used to report deviations in the elapsed time.
The elapsed time monitoring takes the following steps:
- Read the elapsed time of a batch job from the log file, if the batch job is still active, then read the elapsed time of the process.
- Use the historical data to determine the average elapsed time of this batch job.
- Calculate the lower- and upper value using the average elapsed time and the settings for this batch job.
- If the elapsed time of the current or last batch job is longer than the upper value, send a message.
To prevent contamination of the historical data, elapsed times that are shorter than the lower value and longer than the upper value are not included in the historical overview. A message is sent from this.
