Elapsed Time Monitoring settings
Monitoring elapsed time monitoring:

The elapsed time monitoring reads from the batch jobs in the SMiC_DATA: MONITORELAPSEDTIMES.DAT data file, the elapsed time.

These are stored in a CSV file so that a historical  overview can easily be made.

These historical processing times are also used to report deviations in the elapsed time.

The elapsed time monitoring takes the following steps:

  1. Read the elapsed time of a batch job from the log file, if the batch job is still active, then read the elapsed time of the process.
  2. Use the historical data to determine the average elapsed time of this batch job.
  3. Calculate the lower- and upper value using the average elapsed time and the settings for this batch job.
  4. If the elapsed time of the current or last batch job is longer than the upper value, send a message.

To prevent contamination of the historical data, elapsed times that are shorter than the lower value and longer than the upper value are not included in the historical overview. A message is sent from this.
