Process monitoring settings
The data file SMiC_DATA: INTERACTIVEJOBS.DAT contains the following fields:
- The name of the process to be monitored.
- The node on which this process must be present.
The node field is only important if the node is part of an OpenVMS cluster. If the node on which the process is present does not need to be monitored, an "*" can be entered here.
- The time interval in which this process must be monitored.
The process monitoring can be switched on and off per hour. This can be chosen when entering and / or changing the process to monitor by selecting the hours on which monitoring is to be performed.
- The days on which the process monitoring is active.
There are three possibilities here:
- Always active.
- Only active on working days.
- Active only on weekends.
- Recovery procedure for this process.
If the process is no longer present in the system, SMiC can repair this by restarting the process. A recovery procedure must then be provided for this.
