System Management in Control
Certo Certius
more surely than sure
There are several types of disks which can be managed using SMiC:
- The disk directly connected to the system. The name can be read from the disk.
Example:
COMPAQ BD036635C5
- Shadow-set.
When the disk is a shadow-set, the disk members will be shown in the detailed
view in the field shadowmembers:
Example:
$1$DKC0:(DEC RZ2EA-LA)
- NFS-disk.
When the disk is an NFS disk, the NFS-server and NFS-volume will be shown in
the detailed disk view.
Example:
NFS server: nas2
NFS volume: /volume1/homes
- LD-disk.
When the disk is an LD (virtual) disk, the LD file will be show in the detailed view.
Example:
LD diskfile: DSA1:[LDDISKS]DISK1.DSK
