9.9  Creating an Instance

  The current implementation of the Galaxy Software
  Architecture for OpenVMS requires that you predefine the
  Galaxy instances you intend to use.  You can do this by using
  console environment variables.  Refer to the appropriate sec-
  tions of this guide for more details about Galaxy environment
  variables.
