Using the Hyphen (-) Wildcard By using the hyphen wildcard in a file specification in the File Filter text field, you can list the contents of a directory or search for a file within a directory structure. Each hyphen refers to the directory one level up from the current one. You can specify more than one hyphen. However, if you enter so many hyphens that you point above the master file directory (MFD), FileView displays an error message.
