Local Echo

  When the "Local Echo" button is selected, DECterm will
  display all typed input on the screen.

  The display of these characters is independent of any
  character echoing that may take place on the host to which
  the DECterm is connected.  Use of this feature will usually
  cause typed text to be displayed twice.
