Starting an Application as an Icon

  To start an application as an icon, add  *initialState:  3 to the
  application's resource file.

  For example, to start the clock as an icon,

  1.  Add this resource to the application's user resource file.

      *   *initialState:  3 to decw$user_defaults:decw$clock.dat
          for OpenVMS or

      *   *initialState:  3 to ~/.DXclock for other systems.

  2.  Restart the Clock.

  To locate the resources filenames for specific applica-
  tions, refer to decw$system_defaults for OpenVMS or
  /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults for other system.
