About the INBOX

  When you receive a new message, it is automatically added
  to the INBOX folder.  The message remains in the INBOX
  folder until you move it elsewhere.  (This default can be
  changed in your Receive options).

  When you click on the Read New Mail or Receive Mail
  buttons, new messages are added to the INBOX.
