Receiving Mail

  Clicking on the Receive Mail button adds new messages to
  your INBOX folder and updates the list of new messages.

  If you click on Receive Mail while reading a message in the
  INBOX, Mail will close the Read window before you receive
  your mail.  If you are reading a message in the INBOX in a
  Read window other than the default Read window, you will
  not be able to receive your messages.

  You cannot receive mail if you are replying to a message in
  the INBOX.
