  Reading Books Between OpenVMS Systems

  Before you can read books between OpenVMS systems,
  Distributed File System (DFS) software must be installed on
  both the server and client systems, as follows:

  1. Invoke DFS on the server system and add an access point:

      $  RUN  SYS$SYSTEM:DFS$CONTROL
      DFS>  ADD  ACCESS_POINT  access-point-name  directory

      The access point name must conform to the Distributed
      Name Server (DNS) naming conventions at your site.
      The directory is the OpenVMS directory on the server
      system that contains the books you want to read.

  2. Enter the following command to mount the access point
      on the client system:

      DFS>  MOUNT  ACCESS_POINT

  3. Using the complete file specification, add the book's title to
      an existing bookshelf.
